Supa Dupa Fly East

90s Hiphop / R&B - East Coast Spesh!

To coincide with BBC Radio 1 & 1Xtra’s Hackney weekend, we thought it would only be right to throw a special one-off Supa Dupa Fly on the East-side of London! Keeping with the theme, we’re hitting you with an East Coast hip-hop special, so if you’re a fan of Biggie, Gang Starr, A Tribe Called Quest, Lil Kim, Salt n Pepa and all that good stuff this is one for YOU! Remember to arrive EARLY to avoid the queues…

Djs

Ace (1Xtra) has been the Voice of 1Xtra for the past 10 years, Dj for the last 20 and hip hop head from birth! Ace & Vis have won a Sony Radio award & interviewed all the big names in Hiphop. #AceOfClubs looking forward to getting “Supa Dupa Fly!”

Emily Rawson will be jumping on the decks fresh from her set at BBC Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend. She has recently spent time in NYC where she supported NYC hiphop legend Rich Medina, and has just done a guest mix for BBC Radio 1Xtra. She was also featured in Time Out as ‘meet the resident’ in April 2012.

Live

Kelz TBK’s music is his very own take on hip-hop – An MC by nature, his rhymes are filled with conviction and humor, inspired by his African heritage, highlife and afrobeat (of which Kelz has cited Fela Kuti as a major inspiration). Most notable performance is with collaborator Vince Kidd supporting Lana Del Rey.

Hepz Tagoe’s tongue and cheek lyrics mixed with funky up-tempo beats never failed to get the crowd going. Amongst writing songs for other artists, Hepz is set to release her eagerly anticipated live E.P ’ Who the hell is Hepz?’ later on this year.
