An Interview with Glyn from Sink the Pink!

The next Sink the Pink night is this coming Saturday and if you’ve never been to a STP night at Concrete, you’re in for such a tasty treat. And to prep your little bottoms for the fabulous carnage that is Sink the Pink, I’ve had a little interview with the tall, cheeky (and incredibly beautiful) Glyn Fussell …

1. This is Sink the Pink’s 3rd time in Concrete, and we’re so excited. Why do you love Concrete?

Concrete is an amazing venue as it feels like we are on to something very big that is about to happen. The staff are super chilled and it has that old kind of dirty basement feel but with the luxury of clean toilets and lipstick free glasses. The PA is also off the scale so our DJs love playing here.

2. Please tell me about “Glitter My Shitter”.

Glitter my Shiitter came about after a drunken night at my neighbours where I was explaining that when people come to our night, as well as dressing up, they always want to have make up on. She said she used to face paint and voila, adult tranny facepainting. It really makes people let their hair down and get into the swing of the night.

3. For those who aren’t in the know, what can be expected at a Sink the Pink night?

Sink the Pink is an old school DIY Disco; imagine all the things that you like about a naughty house party and whack them into a basement where no one will judge. We encourage anyone to come down and lose all inhibitions, but in a way that is quite tongue-in-cheek. The music is as eclectic as it gets but the general code of conduct is sing-along anthems that get everyone punching the air and begging for more.

4. Do you think I should wear hotpants?

Hell to the yeah! If you haven’t got any then we can always provide them in the dress up box. Dress code here is not important as we are not a club where everyone is looking at each others garb. This is about fun! Wear anything from jeans to jodhpurs!

5. Do you have anything exciting coming up (besides your fabulous nights here, natch)?

As well as this we run Happy Shopper on the 3rd saturday of every month at Dalston Superstore and a huge party called Gay Bash every quarter at Village Underground.
