Concrete is located directly below Pizza East, a modern take on the traditional pizzeria. The menu features traditional and rustic ingredients, with a progressive approach to gourmet pizza and a commitment to sourcing seasonal and local produce.
The interior design pays respect to the building’s industrial roots, with concrete walls and exposed beams, pipes and pillars. Fresh contemporary touches, such as leather seating and steel refectory tables, complete the look. The restaurant holds up to 170 guests, and is open daily.
All pizzas are served on a ten-inch base made from an exclusive house recipe, and topped with a tomato sauce, also specially prepared in-house. The pizza selection ranges from the basic Margherita to the more elaborate San Daniele ham, buffalo ricotta, hazelnut pesto, baby chard or Veal meatballs, prosciutto, sage, lemon, parsley, cream.
The menu also features a great selection of antipasti, including lamb meatballs in tomato sauce, dishes from our wood oven such as sea bream, fennel, olives, lemon, and home baked desserts including warm banana cake, with toffee sauce and hazelnut gelato.
Pizza East is open for brunch Saturday and Sunday from 10am until 5pm. You can relax in the deli with a coffee, a paper and one of our full English breakfast pizzas or pop in and get one of our spinach, mushroom, ricotta and egg rollys to take away. The restaurant tables are also available for our full a la carte menu (from 10am), and our selection of freshly squeezed juices and homemade granola with honey are also on offer all for the perfect start to the day.
There is a takeaway and deli counter service where ingredients, accompaniments and accessories used in the restaurant are available for purchase. Store cupboard items, including sauces, oils and salad dressings, are available alongside merchandise such as napkins, jute bags and teapots.
With party seating up to 16 people at one long table, the semi-private dining area is an intimate space, adjacent to the main restaurant. A sharing menu is available for parties of 11 or more.
