Turn up on a Tuesday! Boxedin (“one of the top literary nights in London-“ TimeOut) celebrates six years of running it’s monthly poetry night in the heart of Shoreditch with a party of poetry and music headlined by one of it’s homegrown talents, Darius McFarlane AKA MANOR THE LATEKID.
Manor the Latekid is an artist and producer who aims to translate poetry and Spoken Word into different art forms such as; sound, movement and music. Their current endeavour is into the world of sound, with the goal of creating MusiPoetry. MusiPoetry is a genre which creates sound that reacts and is birthed from the poetic stimuli itself, whether that be the rhythm of words or even the specific way a word or letter is pronounced.
Manor The LateKid has performed at Boiler room, Lovebox, Bestival, Boxedin, has been a Roundhouse Resident artist and will also be performing at the TATe on the 3rd of November.
After our usual night at Boxpark Shoreditch from 7-9, come straight to Concrete for the second half of the night where we will celebrate the London poetry scene and have a toast to six more years of developing new talent.
